How to: Change Categories and Tags

If you ever want to change the CATEGORY or TAG of any digital resources in SquirrelFish the process is simple and the same for all resource types.

– Find the image, video or document that you want to change the category of.

N.B If you want to change every resource currently in a certain category just click on the category you want to change so that you can see all images/videos or documents that have this category associated with them.

– click EDIT

– scroll down to the bottom of the EDIT page where it says CATEGORIES or TAGS (which-ever you want to change)

– click on the CATEGORY or TAG that you don’t want to appear anymore and it will disappear (it will be there as a blue tab.)

– If you want to replace it with a new CATEGORY or TAG then just start typing the new CATEGORY  or TAG that you do want to appear. Check first if it comes up as an option already in the system – if so just click it as it appears to select it. If it is a new category it will not “pop up” so you type it and then click ADD CATEGORY or ADD TAG

As well as being the most user friendly and cost effective system to store and share our marketing information with our clients, a huge reason we use it is that it means our clients and staff always have access to the latest resources. We all use SquirrelFish as a central intranet so no need to download and store things elsewhere where it may get out of date.
